NatashaTheRobot runs the tools store at https://tools.natashatherobot.com. This page says which data the store keeps about you, why, and for how long.

What the store keeps

Your email address: to deliver your purchase and to answer you. Legal basis: the contract. It comes from you, through Stripe's checkout.

Your purchase: the item, the price, and the times of the payment, of our emails and of your download. Legal basis: the contract.

The update list, when you join it: your email address and the tool. Legal basis: your consent. The stop link in each update email withdraws it.

The list of buyers who got a refund after a download, opened a dispute with their bank, or got a fraud warning from their bank: a hash of the email address and the fingerprint of the card, which Stripe gives us. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in preventing fraud. Nobody is refused automatically: we decide each case ourselves.

The store keeps no IP address and no card number.

When you visit the site

A tool page with a demo video embeds YouTube's player in privacy mode, from www.youtube-nocookie.com. The player loads from Google when the page opens, so Google receives your IP address. YouTube can store data in your browser when you play the video. Pages with no video do not load it.

The front page and the tool pages also load Cloudflare Web Analytics, from static.cloudflareinsights.com. It counts page views and measures how fast each page loads. It sends Cloudflare the address of the page, the address of the page that you came from, and the timing data. It sets no cookie and stores nothing in your browser. Cloudflare says that it does not use this data to follow a person across websites. Your download page, the update pages and these legal pages do not load it. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing which pages people read and how fast they load.

The store sets one cookie, "theme" ("light" or "dark"), only when you press the theme button. It keeps your color choice for one year, holds nothing else, and is used for nothing else. The store has no other cookie and no ads.

How long

We blank your email address 12 months after your last download link, unless you are on an update list. An entry on that list is deleted after two years.

Who processes it

Stripe in the United States, and Cloudflare, process this data.

You pay through Link, Stripe's checkout. Link's own privacy policy covers the data that you give at checkout.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, for its correction or deletion, and you can object to its use. You can withdraw your consent to the update list at any time. You can also complain to a data protection authority.
