## What happens after you buy

1. **Download.** Download the zip. If your browser did not unzip it, double-click it.
2. **Open the app.** Get Apple's free product bezels with the steps in INSTALL.md, then open BezelStudio.app. Some steps are yours: Agree to Apple's license for its bezels, and Open when macOS asks about an app from the internet.
3. **Make it yours.** Open BezelStudio.xcodeproj in Xcode, and put your team in Config/Signing.local.xcconfig, as INSTALL.md shows. Then work with Claude to change the app to fit your work. It is a starter tool.

## What it does

Drop a screenshot or a screen recording on the window. BezelStudio shows it inside Apple's bezel of that device, ready to export.

- **The right device, found for you.** The size of the image picks the device and its pose: iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, iPhone Duo, iPad Air 11-inch and 13-inch (M4), and MacBook Air 13-inch and 15-inch (M5). You can choose another bezel or finish.
- **Stills and movies.** Export a still as PNG, JPEG, HEIC or WebP, and a recording as a QuickTime or MPEG-4 movie, at the size that you choose.
- **Edit your recordings.** Trim, split and delete pieces, and join recordings into one movie with fades and cross-dissolves.
- **Transparent, or on a frame.** Keep the background transparent, or put the mockup on a 1920 × 1080 frame in a color or a gradient.
- **Run it now, change it later.** Open the notarized app at once. When you want more, open its Xcode project and make it your own.

Try it: drop a screenshot from the iOS Simulator on the window.

## Who it is for

iOS and Mac developers who show their apps in posts, App Store pages, talks and videos. BezelStudio frames your screenshots and recordings. It does not take them: use the Simulator or your Mac for that. It runs on a Mac only.

## What you get

One zip with the version that is on sale on the day that you buy. It holds one folder, `bezel-studio/`:

- `BezelStudio.app`: the app, signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple. You need no Xcode to use it.
- The full source: the Xcode project, the SwiftUI app, its tests and the test media.
- `README.md` and `INSTALL.md`: what the app does, and the full install steps.
- `AGENTS.md`: notes for your coding agent.
- `CHANGELOG.md`, `LICENSE` (the Starter Tool License) and `RELEASE` (the name of the release in this zip).

No Apple artwork. You download Apple's free product bezels from Apple. The app is the only pre-built program in the zip.

## What you need

- A Mac with macOS 27.
- Apple's product bezels, a free download from Apple's Design Resources page. Without them, the app shows no device frame, and its window says where to get them.
- Xcode 27.1, only to change the app and build your own copy. You can build and run it with no team set: it then signs to run on your Mac only.

## How you install it

1. If your browser did not unzip the download, double-click the zip. You get the folder `bezel-studio/`.
2. Download Apple's bezels into the folder `Bezels` in your Documents folder.
3. Move `BezelStudio.app` to Applications and open it.
4. To change the app, open `BezelStudio.xcodeproj` in Xcode, and put your team and your bundle identifier in one file that you make: `Config/Signing.local.xcconfig`.

`INSTALL.md` in the zip has every step, and Claude Code can help you with each one.

## It is a starter tool

BezelStudio is a starter tool. You change it to fit your work.

- You can use, copy and change it, for yourself and for your work, in any number of projects.
- The license is for one person: you. Each person on your team buys their own copy.
- A version that you changed in a significant way is yours. You can share or sell it. Give it its own name. Do not say that NatashaTheRobot made it or supports it.
- You must not share, publish or sell the tool as it is, or with small changes only. A new name and new colors are small changes.
- You can distribute the apps that you build from it in compiled form, with no limit.

The full terms are in the `LICENSE` file in the zip. The tool comes with no warranty.

## Updates

New versions cost nothing more. To get them, select **Get new versions by email** in your purchase email, then select **Email me new versions of BezelStudio**. The store then emails you a download link each time NatashaTheRobot announces a new release. Each email has a link that stops them.

A new version is a new zip. It does not change the copy that you have.

`INSTALL.md` says how to take a new version and keep your changes.

## Questions

### Can I use it at work?

Yes, for your own work, in any number of projects. The license is for one person: you. Each person on your team buys their own copy.

### Do I need Xcode?

No, not to use the app: open `BezelStudio.app`. You need Xcode 27.1 only to change the app and build your own copy.

### Why are Apple's bezels not in the zip?

Apple licenses its product bezels. You download them from Apple's Design Resources page, and you agree to Apple's license yourself. `INSTALL.md` shows where to put them.

### Can I get my money back?

The refund rules are at https://tools.natashatherobot.com/refunds.
