## What happens after you buy

1. **Download.** Download the zip. If your browser did not unzip it, double-click it.
2. **Install with Claude.** Open the folder in Claude Code, and ask it to help you install the tool with the steps in INSTALL.md. Some steps are yours: a folder for the tool outside iCloud, a line in ~/.zshrc if the script asks for it, and a new session.
3. **Make it yours.** Ask Claude: What is new in SwiftUI in my Xcode? Then work with Claude to change the tool to fit your work. It is a starter tool.

## What it does

Claude Code and Codex can suggest outdated Swift APIs or guess API names. AskAppleDocs helps them write code using the APIs available in your Xcode and the corresponding Apple documentation.

- **Find new APIs.** See what's new in SwiftUI and other Apple frameworks in your installed Xcode SDK.
- **Find APIs by describing what they do.** Describe the functionality you're looking for, and AskAppleDocs finds relevant new APIs.
- **Read Apple's documentation.** Retrieve concise documentation for a specific API, including availability checks for your deployment target.
- **Find deprecated APIs.** Identify deprecated APIs in your project's imported frameworks and see what to use instead.
- **Reduce token usage.** Give your agent the relevant API context without filling the conversation with entire documentation pages.
- **Help your AI agent write better Swift.** Instruct Claude Code to check Apple's documentation before using an API or migrating existing code.

AskAppleDocs works with Claude Code and Codex.

## It is a starter tool

AskAppleDocs is a starter tool you can customize for your own workflow. The purchase includes the full source code, so you can modify it to suit your needs.

- You can use, copy and change it, for yourself and for your work, in any number of projects.
- The license is for one person: you. Each person on your team buys their own copy.
- A version that you changed in a significant way is yours. You can share or sell it. Give it its own name. Do not say that NatashaTheRobot made it or supports it.
- You must not share, publish or sell the tool as it is, or with small changes only. A new name and new colors are small changes.

The full terms are in the `LICENSE` file in the zip. The tool comes with no warranty.

## Updates
